The Health Advocacy program at Sarah Lawrence College presents a free, online workshop for those who are a caregiver for others in their personal or professional lives.
We are all increasingly vulnerable to compassion fatigue due to regular exposure to issues we care deeply about -- pandemics, war, racism, climate crises, political erosion, loss of rights, and more. This inundation of stressors can cause many people to inadvertently to drain their empathy reserves, diminishing their capacity to care for others. This “compassion fatigue” can lead to burnout and stress disorders.
Participants in this workshop will learn practical strategies to build resilience and support their mental and social health.
This workshop will take place on Zoom and will last approximately an hour and a half; it is free and open to all.
